About USF

The mandate of the Universal Service Fund (USF) is to promote universal access to reliable communications services in underserved and unserved areas of Lesotho. The Fund mobilizes resources to support projects that expand mobile network coverage, enhance digital inclusion and bridge the connectivity gap between rural and urban areas. Through stakeholders’ partnerships, the Fund plays a vital role in advancing the Government of Lesotho digital transformation agenda and improving social and economic development for all Basotho, irrespective of their geographic location.
