LSNIC Accreditation Policy (v1.0.0)
Sets conditions for accrediting .ls domain registrars: Eligibility requires Lesotho-based businesses with no dishonesty convictions, DNS/LSNIC knowledge, and technical capabilities for registrant interactions, secure data handling, and backups. Application via website package (policy, form, agreement, pricelist, software); incomplete apps rejected. Successful applicants pass Interface, Policy, and Regulatory Tests; accreditation granted upon passing and fee payment. Suspension/revocation for unpaid debts, ineligibility, or policy breaches, with 30-day notice.
LSNIC Domain Name Registration Policy (v1.0.0)
Adopts 3-R model (Registry, Registrar, Registrant) for .ls ccTLD. Anyone can register .ls domains; only Lesotho Government for .gov.ls. Domains on first-come-first-served basis, must be alphanumeric/dashes (no start/end dash, ≤63 chars, no spaces), not already registered. Applications/renewals/transfers/deletions via accredited registrars only, with required registrant details. Renewals before expiry; 30-day suspension post-expiry/deletion request, then deletion if unresolved. Revocation for debts, ineligibility, breaches, with 30-day notice. Disputes via mediation then ICANN UDRP. Amendments announced 30 days ahead; data protection per 2013 Act.
